Texen CSR Roadmap

Leading the eco-transition

Sustainability underpins everything we do. As a packaging solutions company, we are aware of the impact of our activity. Our sustainability strategy considers the whole value chain, from raw material extraction, to consumers and the end of life of our products. Our primary focus is on areas under our direct control: our manufacturing facilities, our people and our product development, while also reaching out beyond. We inspire, influence and encourage our sourcing partners, our customers, end users and the wider community, to embrace sustainable practices. Our ambition: to lead the eco-transition of the beauty industry.

Responsible sourcing

Texen is building a fairer value chain, placing ethics, responsible sourcing and human rights at the heart of its strategy. All of our strategic suppliers have signed our Responsible Purchasing Charter and all are asked to complete sustainability self-assessments. Committed partners such as SK Chemicals and Eastman help us reduce the carbon footprint of our raw materials. An active ethics committee in every country, along with dedicated officers, ensures our commitments are upheld every day.

Production, products & people

At Texen's factories, Scope 1 and 2 emissions have dropped by more than half since 2019. Our reduction targets, validated by the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi), aim for net zero emissions by 2050. With regards to Scope 3, we provide life-cycle assessments, helping beauty brands to reduce the environmental impact of their packaging solutions. Our customers are offered eco-design options and we suggest recycled or bio-based alternatives from our growing materials library, anticipating regulatory requirements. Within our organisation, we nurture and invest in our people through training, a safe work environment and long-term employability.
